Half Days

  • Telephone cover is provided by the practice between 17:30 and 18:00, Monday to Friday 

Extended Hours

The practice also offers extended hours appointments for patients who are unable to attend during normal opening hours. Please ask at reception for more details.

Protected Learning Time

The Practice will be closed for CREATE training from 1pm on the following dates:

Thursday 14th May 2026

Tuesday 1st September 2026

Tuesday 17th November 2026

Wednesday 17th March 2027

In the event of an emergency during this time emergency cover arrangements are provided by telephoning the practice.  For minor injuries please call 111.  In a life threatening emergency please call 999.  

Other Duties

In addition to surgeries the doctors have other duties to undertake, for example, specialist clinics and home visits. The times of surgeries may vary due to other commitments and to address patient needs and therefore cannot be guaranteed at 'regular' times.

During public holidays and protected learning sessions when the practice is closed NHS Forth Valley and NHS 24 will provide emergency medical cover. They can be contacted on 111.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
